I wondered why it didn't show up on their inventory list. Did you see the nice driver '65 coupe they have for around 20K asking price?

Well. Back to searching for a '63 convert.

Tom

I did.... but I don't want a coupe! WAHHHHH!( again )

JimS, that is either a weird coincidence or a cruel joke:L

That is the same car VIG tried to buy earlier, but the guy decided to keep it!

That is weird. I saw this post and figured I'd look around for Vigman. I found that one in his area, and figured I'd post it. Sorry you didn't have any luck Vigman. I'll keep my eyes open for others.

The horror!

Yes that's the one... it needs the entire front foward of the front fenders.. that why the hood was there!

Dag-nabit!

Still on the hunt!

Thanks for the input guys.. keep it coming!

Well it's not a convert but it is a '63 project and it's all new parts.

Several 63-64 converts on Deals on Wheels but no projects.

'63 project

Another Pix

For your amazement

Stop it!! My heart actually skipped a beat when I saw those 3 tail lights. I always loved that modification. I hope Guys inspection turns up positive. I'm getting excited about this car. I was even checking out the catalogs to see which pieces you will need to fix the nose.

I guess that's why the Mommas and the Poppas sang the song "California Dreamin". You are a visionary Vig. Can't wait to see the resurrected White street rod. The bro's in the hood here in NY are rootin for you.

00-82 here and it's snowing again :( , but like the USPS says, Neither rain, snow or hail....I'll be leavng in about an hour. And for those of you who haven't read all the posts, I'll also be picking up a set of 225/R70/15 Goodyear Polysteel tires with 14.5 k miles I scored off the NCRS Driveline. The guy lives in CT, but his brother lives about 30 miles from the pimp-mobile. The brother picked up the tires on his last trip to CT. Talk about killing two birds today.

To make it short - rust is not a problem. You have surface rust only. The car is quite solid and the frame/undercarriage is sound.
There are leaks from expected places like power steering & the differential. No leaking calipers - they are all drum:D.
Interior is is good enough shape to drive without being embarassed with good chrome around the windshield, You will have to get ride of that 70 Dodge Challenger type steering wheel. for the right price this car could trun into a something good. However, no matter how little or how much time and money it takes to get that nose changed, the value of the car suffers. The nose and chopped front frame drag the value down.
The current paint job has to go! It was second rate with a lot of slop in the door hinge areas. Obviously, the car will be repainted anyway with the nose job. At least the paint kept the elements at bay. The battery was dead, so I didn't get to hear the engine.
I don't remember where the vin is located on the mid-years, but I couldn't find it. I suppose the firewall somewhere. Make sure you tell Jeff where it is and don't proceed unitl he sends you a picture of it. I'm sure it's there, but you never know.
