Been following your adventure with great interest, always love the search, Congrats!! :)

After all these years!!!! YEA,YEA,YEA..

Way to go Vig. You and I started this search in the fall of 2001 while I still lived in Palm Springs. As you remember, there was absolutely no cars in California under $19000 in those days. And your budget then was about $12000.

Just goes to show you that patience and hard work all pays off.

I did a complete front end on my 64 race car in 1989. I saw the car last summer and it still looks good. It really isn't that hard, just time consuming getting it all fit up.

Looking forward to the restoration saga, and if I can help with anything, give me a call.
Jim

Well that one would have been

A little over my head......or by the time things were said & done...tooo much $$$$$$
( not that this one is a steal... I'm choking on the spread sheets already...GAK!)

Jeff ( the current owner) finally visited here!

And wrote the following:

"This morning I had an opportunity to read your highly entertaining thread on corvetteaction center about the car search, our conversations & Guy's visit to look the car over on your behalf, the people who post there are real characters..... I really can't believe that they don't care for the nose!"

I thought this would just add flavor to the thread....

Vig!

Mr "T"

Yes I saw that one.. see above posts.. I landed a 64...just waiting for it to thaw out..

Thanks for the post!

So today I ordered the shop manual, suppliment & schematics... Mo' money flying out the window!

LOL

Congrats on finding your 64, and have lots of fun restoring it!

Be sure to take a picture of the nose and have Rob put it in the "Unusual" gallery

Ok phase II commences

Today we prep the boat for sale.. ( got a nibble from the recycler)... once that goes
(sunday appointment) I move the 73 into that slot.

Jeff is still having Pay Pal problems.. and now has a computer virus.

He has started the paperwork process & is mailing the bill of sale ( Phase I ) out to me.

Bye-Bye-Boaty!

What is a ( anything made of fiberglass)

A hole to throw $$$$$ at!

LOL

This was AFTER I found out about Vette's.

Vig~

Vigman,

In reference to boats and vettes, they are both money pits. I know cause I've tried them both;-)

Vettes are easier to store in the winter and you can use them more frequently.

Have fun with your 64 project, can't wait to see pics

Breaking news update

Feb-24

I recieved the 1 st round of papers from Jeff.

He (finally) got the Pay-Pal thing to work.

Money in holding account.

Jeff will put a new batt in her in the next couple of days.

Shipping company on stand-by.

Boat ready to show & sell.

All we need is his DMV to come up with the clean title & a break in the weather.

TIC-TIC-TIC.

Vig~
