Ted Nugent---Mid-Year Fever

Well I don't know where they come from
But they sure do come
I hope they comin' for me
And I don't know how they do it
But they sure do it good
I hope they doin' it for free

They give me Mid-Year fever
Mid-Year fever

The first time that I got it
I was just ten years old
I got it from some Vette next foor
I went and see the Dr. and
He gave me the cure
I think I got it some more

They give me Mid-Year fever
Mid-Year fever

It's nothin dangerous
I feel no pain
I've got to ch-ch-change
You know you got it when you're going insane
It makes a grown man cryin' cryin'
Won't you make my bed

I make the Vette purr with
The stroke of my hand
They know they gettin' it from me
They know just where to go
When they need their lovin man
They know I do it for free

They give me Mid-Year fever
Mid-Year fever

It's obviously becoming a looong hard winter. :crazy

It does seem like a number of people are graduating from solid axles, show cars and high maintenance performance Corvettes to nice small block mid year convertible drivers. There is a definate lure to the easy cruising style of a 327/300, 4 speed, 3.36 geared Mid Year convertible. Even I have been looking in the trade papers lately. (Chris keeps reminding me of that shop full of projects out there so looking is probably all that will happen).

I found a '65 in Corvette and Chevy Trader just like the one I used to have. Red, black interior, white top, 300/4 speed/ 3.36 posi, Teak steering wheel and AM/FM with power antenna. But it had a few other options that really made the car. Telescopic steering wheel, A/C, leather, knock-offs with black wall radials, side exhaust and red hard top. A perfect Mid Year for me. I like the '65-'66 verticle side vents best of all the Mid Years. There is a certain funtionality that goes beyond style about them.

BTW My birthday is at the end of this week. Hint, hint.

Tom

Tom - As you know, their is NO Feb 29th this year, so you don't get squat:D!

Happy Pre-Birthday my friend!

Guy,

Loopholes...always loopholes. :eyerole You have to give me an E for effort. I was even going to let you sit in it.

Hey Vig,

Have you checked out the insurance situation yet on your car while it is transit? I just saw a load of new Fords spread out all over a field along I-69 going to Indy the other nite.
I would think that you would have to have comprehensive coverage at the minimum and maybe even liabilty or collision in case your car caused damage while being driven in the course of loading or even damaged itself. Then there is always the posibilty of an accident, heaven forbid, where your car might exit the trailer and hit another car injuring someone. What does the transporter insure for? Have you checked with your agent just to be safe?

Vig, has Intercity been able to give you a approx. date as to when they will be able to pick-up and deliver your new project? How's the boat removal going, any takers? Glad to hear that you are still sane and have tools in hand! Did you get enough rain to wash the boat? We're all waiting for the pictures and updates!
Bob

Updates

Boat..no takers...yet

Innercity...I have to fill out 1 more form..(oops)

Jeff...is still waiting for the title to clear..( that's the time limiting factor )

Rain.. yeah.. a little.

Sane... that's a matter of opinion!

If I cant sell the boat & the Jet ski.. I 'll donate it to charity( get the tax break)... out it goes!

Vig!

Vig-

you should donate the jet ski and boat to the CAC or auction it off to the membership. If all else fails get a trailer for the project car and tow it around!

Tom - My budget is not very high, so I'll be looking for a solid axle or mid-year that can pass for a driver while still needing work. No NCRS types fall in my price range so NOM's are ok. As long as it's a solid car that might need TLC - like new interior or/and a paint job down the road. Not a total project, but not show either. I've seen many under $22k the past few weeks including a local 61 for $18k. Mike's pimp-mobile was a great buy; solid, driver, ok interior - buy OH that NOSE:D! Just a nice driver is what I want. Now when my dough comes in, all these cars will have already been sold:D.
