Vig,

The European sector has been on the sidelines of this mission from the beginning. Now the excitement is building too fast. I can’t hold them back any longer. Hearts are pounding, fathers are holding children above their heads to see over the crowds, now all fall silent, and wait, and watch, but the souls mummer ¨Go Vig, Go!¨

Rebuilding my ´63 was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am envious of your project. Enjoy, and please keep us posted.

Thanks

Sir...incomming message

" Mike,
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, I just got off the phone with the driver from
Intercity and they now know exactly when I am and they have a dropoff Thurs. a.m. at a dealership about 3 miles from my house, so they'll be here around 7:30am ( east coast time ), we load up and you'll see it when they show up at your place. There's a subdivision about 1/2 mile down the road from my house so they can go down there and pull in to get off the road to load it,
and I can drive it down there (unregistered and uninsured) without any problem, with my luck I'll pull out of my dooryard right in front of a cop! I'll let you know how things go in the morning.

" Mike,
The car is loaded and on its way to you it was quite a production getting it on the truck the drivers are very careful about everything.
They are going to call you later today or tomorrow to let you know when they'll be out to your place. I told them that you were looking for the car by April 7 and they said that shouldn't be a problem. I guess now we
wait for it to get to you.
Thanks,
Jeff

Touchdown!

From an E mail to Jeff

Jeff.....

6:30 pm ( PST)

She got dropped off.. 3 cranks.. and vroom out of the truck she came.
She was the last car on the truck...
I took it for a test drive.. what a hoot!
I gave her her first tank of premimum

She did run WARM...I do not think the fan is kicking in.
Brakes work good
Horn on the headlight motor switch.. pretty funny!!!
Did you remove the antenna? I assume the lead for the antenna is hiding back there somewhere.

The key doesn't work the pass side door.
The floor headlight switch is FUNKY.
GOD THAT FRONT END IS EVEN WORSE IN PERSON
The needle for the amp gauge WAS in the gauge...loose.

So here are the questions
1) How do you get in reverse?
2) What is the red switch under the ashtray?
3) What do you know about the fan relay circut?
4) Is the dipstick correct ( level wise) she was down 1 qt of oil

Any other OH BY THE WAYS?

So that's where we are at today...
Nice April fools day huh?
( Don't get me wrong.. I'm a happy camper)

Thanks,
Mike

THANK YOU ALL!

Let me take a moment to personally THANK all the WAY COOL CAC MEMBERS that helped in locating, checking, securing and just general cheering on!

A special thanks to 82 Guy
For going on the away team mission and securing that GREAT set of snaps.

Special mention to Rob.. for without this web site.. none of this would have happened.
( and the money would STILL BE in my IRA)
LOL!

Intercitylines was BY FAR the BEST..
Super professional, fast, cautious, personable.. just nothing but GREAT!
Clay & Mary Henderson were the driving team....

So today starts the first round of inspections..

I hope that from all the work I have to do on this car ( and a LOT is needed) that my efforts can aid other members.

My sincere thanks to the CAC membership & Administration, one & all!

Vig~

My THANK YOU LETTER to Intercity Lines!

CAC members.. these GUYS WERE GREAT!

Dear Mr Sellers,

Something went wrong,

Sir ..how are you going to deal with these "issue's".

* The car was delivered 4 days early.
* In perfect condition.
* In a fast, prompt, friendly, professional manner.
* Took less than 1/2 hour from the truck to my driveway.

How can this be?

I don't know how to deal with this level of service!!!!!!

These days where customer care & service is a dying art..
Your team of Clay & Mary Henderson was the best to deal with on all levels.

I will tell everyone I know to USE your service!

Thank you for everything!

Mike Vigil
