Air foils are overrated on stock engines. Those 10 HP gains were all based on non-stock engine dyno runs with open headers and a higher lift cam. On my stock L98, I estimate it is worth just a few extra HP at WOT shift points. My point is if you want to convince me the performance value of air foils, different spark plug designs, or some other technology, then run it on a stock engines. Not on a modified engine that have a different set of performance limitations which I may never reach on my stock engine. Testing a plug at 5000-6000 RPM doesn't help me running a stock L98.

I knew the razor thing was coming I stalked up on the 3 bladed ones in the 90's, I have enough until I die. I bought a case when they were on sale on ebay.

A 5 HP spark plug? What a load of crap. Its like saying a complete MSD igniton system on a car creates more HP, rather it allows for better spark throughout the RPM range, especially at higher rpms where the aging stock system lags a bit.

Why do people put those msd deals on a daily driver? They are proven not to do anything and these companies are making millions off these things.:confused

Because I needed a divorced coil and it had the better attachment devices than say the square ACCEL or leave a coil to flop around held by zip ties?

You can get an easy 5 HP by replacing worn out, misgapped plugs with ANY new plug. Getting 5 HP by replacing good plugs with any other plug - not so much.

Because people are stupid, even smart people are stupid, and will believe anything others tell them as tho' it's gospel. No one THINKS. It's too much like work.
