AC Blower fan Stays On!

Main AC blower fan stays on even with the ignition off.

Removed and cleaned ac Climate Control head--all ok--at least on-off-lites-switches etc--------compressor---cold as my ex-wifes ass--have to disconnect at the plug/fan terminal to shut off the blower fan motor.

Any suggestions?


Bought the ecklers relay---but where do it be?

Right out of the '89 manual it says its the relay with that kinda of problem.

"Blower stays on even with ignition off"
1) Replace Blower relay

Here's a pic of where the relay is...hope this helps...

That's for a manual a/c --is it not?

Got cha--Relay is blown--

Any idea where best parts can be obtained---out of ecklers range---I had gotten the cooling system blower motor relay--oh well may need it some day---lol

Well I looked at all my "known places to look" and couldn't find a module either. I had a similar problem when my Smog Pump when it went out. My mechanic said in all his years of working on vettes, this was only the 3rd one he's ever seen go bad...just lucky I guess...anyway...the part is so seldom called for that no one had it....only GM..<$346>..so he called the local salvage yard...now know as "Auto Parts Retrieve Engineers" ...and they got on their system and found one in Georgia...had it shipped <2 days> and only $100....w/warrenty.....so you might try that route before bitting the bullet and going to a GM dealer. Good luck with it..!!

What's ya gonna do with that relay now..? :L
