If it is just a seal anyone with the tools should be able to repair that. If it is more than that I would just exchange it for a rebuilt from a good parts store.
I don't understand what you mean by "throwing oil"??? Is oil visible on the outside of the compressor? If it is it could be something other is wrong with the system or, maybe something else "throwing oil". The belt for example can sling oil from somewhere else. Does the AC work?
