Is possible to get to the switch (manual xmission) from the topside by removing the center console?

Thanks,
Tom

no it will not work!!
You have to do it from underneith. Really not a big problem, didn't have to remove anything on mine to change the switch.

I have to replace mine at the moment, just took a look what this dam... thing cost. Between $65-$94 !!!!!

WOW! I was going to ask you if you knew what it cost, I need to get one, inspection is coming up.

Just looked it up and it seems as if these are the cheapest:
GMParts Direkt $56,38 incl. ship
Corvette Central $68,20 + ship
rockauto.com $56.47 incl. ship
The last detail $52 incl. ship

Not bad doing all this from Germany, don't you think???????

Hey Vettf6!
Wow thats great! you have a Vette in Germany! All those Beamers & Porches to show off to!
You must be a real novelty!

take care of yourself, and thanks for the help.

Tom.
I love me Vette, but in some matters you can't compare it with a European sports car. I have done very much to get pretty close but the handling is still far off. See sig. of my combo.

Haven't met anything faster in regards to acceleration though!! I don't drive top speed, just 155 mph now and then; although top speed should be more than 190 mph.

Arnold

Hi Arnold,
Growing up all I worked on was sports cars, loved them, I only could afford the MGB's and Triumphs, but we worked on everything, and for sure a Porche will blow away a Vette on a road course, but the Vette to me still has a "personality" all to itself. I enjoy taking my 86 out for a leisurely ride, its good on the road, I have no complaints.
Are you from the US or are born- raised in Germany?
Your English is great (I know - I was in Germany, most of you speak 2 languages) but writing makes it more of a challenge! In my home we are
English/spanish (my wife is from south america) so we speak Spanish at
home with the kids.
My other passion is Raising Discus fish, and my fish were all bred in Germany.
I buy from an importer -

Nice to meet you!
