Accessing Body Mount

Hey all, im having trouble accessing the body mount that is located right under the door hinge. I can see it, but dunno how much dissassembly is required to get at it? Any tips/advice? thanks all

If you mean removal of the bolt, it should just screw out but soak with PB blaster. If you mean replacement of the mount itself that will require lifting the body somewhat so that you can access the bottom cushion of the mount.

The other mounts on that side also have to be loosened so that the body will lift. Some folks have no problems with this, I was not a fortunate and had to remove the body so I could access the #3 body mount on the passenger's side, as that bolt had to be cut in order to remove the mount.

There is a procedure in the GM Shop manual. There should also be some threads on lifting the body to access the mounts.
