how do I adjust the throttle cable ( no the TV cable) , because I notice how loose it felt at the throttle bell an how when I press te peddle it will not open the throttle all the way.

Does your Corvette have ASR? I can't recall and I don't have my books here at home. :confused

_ken :w

My 87 had a loose gas cable. The manual didn't say anything about how to tighten the cable, which is capped on both ends. Using the ingenuity that all Corvette owners have (or is that stupidity? they're both pretty close to the same thing), I pulled the slack out of the cable by pulling it at the pedal. Then I crimped in a lead sleeve (very simular to a fishing sinker) between the cable end and the plastic cup that holds it on the pedal. Waalaa! Has worked perfect for years with no trouble. Just don't ever remove the factory cable ends because the crimps will slip off if you do that.

I was thinking similar, but how do you get to the pedal side of the cable. I got down there and removed the panel but still can't see the cable hooked to the pedal. I was thinking of putting it at the throttle bell end, and where can I get this lead sleeve and what does it look like?

Thanks for the help

Take up the slack at either end and use a tyrap....worked on the gas pedal and the hood release cables at each corner of the hood....

The tyrap is a good idea, Eagle.

The gas pedal cable end is kind of hidden in a plastic cup on the upper end of the pedal arm. I preferred this end rather than the TB end because the plastic cup helps to hold the new spacer in place.
