Many thanks for any advice and guidance concerning a clunking noise that has appeared recently in my 2010 C6 6MN Coupe with 11K miles. Each time the car is started after sitting for an hour or more, I hear a single clunk that appears to originate underneath and towards the front of the car. The scenario is consistent: After reversing out of the garage or a parking space, I come to a complete stop, engage 1st gear before moving forward slowly while turning then straightening the steering wheel. A second or two after proceeding straight, I hear the clunk. Note: This is not the clicking noise from the Evap Cannister that I am familiar with.
I neither see messages on the DIC nor feel anything in the steering wheel.
FWIW, my wife had a 2008 Saab that exhibited the same noise in the exact same circumstance that originated in the ABS pump.
Any thoughts?
BTW, the car has a dealer appointment early next week.
