Question: Front end noise

I have a 2006 coupe with 6 speed standard transmission. When I turn the steering wheel hard left (counterclockwise) I hear a loud clunking/grinding noise. Any thoughts as to what this might be? Otherwise, the car runs perfectly.

Turn the wheels full left then get out and inspect the exterior bodywork around the wheel opening for parts rubbing on the tire. Check to see if any part of the inner fender is rubbing on the tire.
