I took my LT4 into the shop, as I thought the transmission was going. Turns out it was the dual-mass flywheel going. The shop put in a new flywheel and matching clutch. This change has made the ZF trans noisy. I searched and found several threads that confirm that the purpose of the dual-mass flywheel is to damp engine impulses, and that a noisy trans is expected with an aftermarket flywheel.
I said all that to say that I don't know if an aftermarket clutch will be compatible with the dual-mass flywheel. If you have to change the flywheel as well as the clutch, expect a noisy trans.
