air filter question

should i get a k&n filter [$105] or should i go with the open air filter type that takes the $15 filter? k&n is supposed to give me 7 more horespower..but the open air element one, i think, looks so darn good.

dont know if it is a canadian thing but autozone has an k&n air filter for my 86 for $59.00... might see if you can buy online , or if there is an autozone in your area... good luck ....mike

A K&N will flow more air than a paper filter (and thus give more HP).

You could get an intake system. Vortex (sp) and SLP make some. They would replace the entire filter box.

Just another way to get to the same place.

If your air intake is like my 85, go with open air box and K&N. You won't be sorry and they are inexpensive gains.
