Question: air filter

feel kind of foolish asking this question,but i'm trying to change the air filter on my 93 took off the three bolts and i cannot seem to pull off the cover,am i missing something?

Been a while since I had a C4 but...

Did you remove the air bridge between the throttle body and the air filter housing?

no i did not, do i have to remove that
