Is there a way i can check that the air mix door operates? i might done something to it when pulling new speaker wires :-( Vacuum seams to be ok but it is kind of warmer in the car when i use the cruise controll ???????

Electronic clima by the way

All help is good help in this matter.

Get your head under the dash and see if the blend door arm moves when temp changed on the controller.May have dislodged arm from motor to door
Vac controls vent positions

I tried this but cant see any movable parts, just that round thing vhere the vacuum line goes in. Which movement should i look for?

Under the hood next to the radiator resivour is the blower motor speed controler. Remove it and you can see the blend door and watch it move. Also do the lights flash on the control head? That would indicata a code set in the hvac unit.

No codes showing, is it normal that the controll unit fails? Thinking by replacing that as a first step, just strange it happened after i put in a new stereo.

Thanks,
Steve

Can i refasten the arm from under the glovebox or is this a major operation, It looks like the arm is off. Cruise works and it seam to be vacuum as normal.

I did the diagnostic test and when set to max cold #24 shows -153 (253) as it suppose to but on full heat it comes with 02, not 00. Does this mean it is operating but wont open full for heating? I do not want to mess with that door if i dont have to.

Did you figure out what the issue was? If you did't; don't overlook that blend door control setup as previously suggested . I know the early C4s have a different linkage (no clip on your model - someone on CAC posted) but the symtoms would be similar if the actuator motor was not working or at least not moving the blend door as designed.
