I do feel dumb about asking this question for some reason, but since I own a c5 coupe, is wind noice from the detachable roof a way of life?

Since my other car is a nice quiet luxery based Lexus, sometimes the noise bothers me a tad when I switch cars.

Input?
:confused

There are no dumb questions. Is it just outside noise or is it an air leak noise? These C5s are pretty quiet. Maybe not Lexus quiet but pretty close. There are adjustments to make the roof fit tighter. Take it to a good dealer or Vette shop or better yet get the service manual if you are mechanically inclined. There are many fine tune adjustments for the roof and windows.

HI there,
I agree. The windnoise should not really be a problem.
Top adjustments included the side window to the weatherstrip on the top. Front top latch adjustments, and a few others.
Definately find someone who knows c5, and they should take care of it.

Response to C4/C5

Thanks for all of your info thus far. Be sure to look me up when you take your daughter to Disneyland, as I live about 5 miles from there!

Noise is bothersome with the coupe and the top off. Especially at any speed higher then 50. Keeping the windows up to about 2-3 inches from fully up helps. Have seen some talk about the "windjammer" not sure about that yet.:Steer :pat

Wind Jammer

We do have it for our Coupe. Works wonderfully. My main concern in this thread is the noise between the top and the other windows.
