Air Pump

Are there any benefits to removing the emissions air pump other then space? I know they sell brackets and pulleys so you can use your stock belt. I can only assume that if someone offers a kit then there must be some benefit, Right?

To their bank balance
Purely cosmetic; very little Hp required to run pump but does make for a tidier engine bay.
Some just remove the internal vanes so pump just becomes big idler pulley.
