I have a 1986 macolm conner edition corvette, i want to get a chip.. instead of looking myself, which do I have?

You mean heads i guess.

Look at the valve covers, if they are center bolts=late 86, if they have bolts around the perimeter of the cover=early 86. Thats the easiest way to tell.

Late 86 have Aluminum heads. Early is Cast Iron.

The exhaust manifolds are cast iron.

I don't have the specs for the '84 and '85 Corvettes, but the exhaust manifolds from 1986 on are made with stainless steel, each weighing 6.38 lbs.

Information gleaned from Michael Antonick's Corvette Specs, which covers the entire fourth generation Corvette. I highly recommend this book. :upthumbs
