Aluminum Radiator Question

I just purshased a new crate engine that has 385hp and I am thinking the stock radiator will not be able to cool it fast enough and I was wondering if any of you have aluminum radiators in your cars and if you do what type...

One thing that I have noticed is be cool is the only brand that sell them specifically for our cars and they are really expensive...others just sell them my dimsensions...does anyone know the size of a radiator for a 1981 corvette?

John, I have been running a BeCool radiator for about 4 years now. No problems what so ever. Keeps my modified motor cool under all conditions something I didn't want to entrust to a 30 year old original radiator. Dropped right into the saddles using the stock hardware, didn't have to do any trimming or modifying-something that was important to me. Yeah they're pricey but are a quality product. Got it from Summit and they have discount codes available time to time. Believe some other brand aluminum radiators have since came out, you might check prices on them. Stored my original radiator in the attic. Charles

Ebay frequently has radiators listed specifically for various years of Vettes. Can't remember who makes all of them but I've seen a few different brands. Charged Air Systems is one of the companies but I'm pretty sure I've seen at least one other. Hope it helps.

aluminum radiator

I have a 1978 with a beCool and dual spal fans. Got mine through Summit, but Dewitts has them as well.

Griffen radiators has a model that will fit but probably isn't any cheaper than Be Cool. I believe Dewitt has a group buy on the corvette forum board at a good price.
