Aluminum Valve Covers

Does anybody know the best way to clean and polish up aluminum valve covers? I have a set of L82 aluminum covers that are dirty and slightly oxidized and want to get them looking as new as possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mothers metal polish works great, as well as just about any other metal polish. Brian

A quick solution is etching wheel cleaner from Eagle.They usually sell it at any auto parts stores.It doesnt make them shiny but makes them real bright.

Use some aluminun wheel cleaner and a Scotch Brite pad. Mine cleaned up very nicely.
