Hey everyone! Here's my story: My first 'vette was an '84. This was back in 1990 when I was #1-unmarried, #2-no children, and #3-no mortgage. By 1992 however, all three of these events had taken place and forced the sale of my beloved Corvette. Looking back, the Corvette may have contributed to satisfying #1 and #2!!!

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago: #1, #2 and #3 are all still intact (same wife, same kids, same house) :-) I happened across what I thought was an incredible 1988 coupe with only 33,000 miles....it was truly a time machine. To make a long story short, I am now "back in the game". The only thing is, it seems these things were alot easier to get in and out of 15 years ago!!! :-)

Looking forward to sharing my experiences along the way....CHEERS!!!

Welcome to the CAC. :w

Welcome! Sounds like you have a clone of my 88. I thought mine had low miles since I just turned 46K going to Eureka Springs weekend.

Hope you have as much fun with yours as I've had with mine.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thanks for all the welcoming comments. I'll try to post pictures of my car ASAP. I'm also new at this message board thing so you'll have to bear with me as I learn.....my bumbling around should be good for a laugh too!!!

Glad to have you back. Yes, your right they were easier to get into years ago. It's amazing how they've shrunk the interiors(lol).:w

Welcome, Chuck.
Sounds like everything worked out OK- glad you now have the vette plus all the other things too.

Welcome to CAC Chuck, glad to hear our back in the sadle again; the technique of rolling in and out of the Vette will come back to you, almost like riding a bike but not really uh?

After one month of ownership, I can truly say it's awesome to be a corvette owner once again!!! Now if only it would stop raining here!!

Chuck, welcome to CAC, 88s are neat cars. The C4s don't get as much respect as the other generations right now, but that will change. Everyone here at CAC respects all the other generations, so that's not an issue here.

:v of all kinds; like to have one of each year and model ever made and then worry about where I was going to keep them, wouldn't that be an awesome problem to have :upthumbs
