I received my NEW 355 short block and found it has a drivers Side dip stick.

Thats no big deal kinda.

Now this Is the big deal what oil pan can I use on this new Short block that has a oil dip stick that will fit the car that holds 5 Qt and not to low that it will drag the ground.

Anyone that has Info would be great manafactor and part numbers would be better.

What i can tell the pan can't be more than 7 inches deep.

have you looked at Ecklers and the other Vette stores for their upgraded oil pans? I have seen them but can;t remember where.

Some offer a bigger pan (6qt) or something with cooling fins...custom kinda stuff. I would think that a SB Chevy pan pattern was as common as dirt...so any aftermarket pans designed for the corvette would fit your new short block. The only real obstruction is the front cross member brace...I think..:confused

I looked at Ecklers but they are not letting me know if a older oil pan off a C3 will fit the frame of a C4.
