So, which do you use when reinstalling the themostat bolts? anything?. The same goes for reinstalling the manifold bolts. This inquiring mind needs to know. Have heard not to use anti-seize on manifold bolts and only RTV, and visa-versa. So opinions welcome! Thanks-Doug:)

I use Anti-Seize. Most of my cars have aluminum intakes, and the bolts are cast iron, so it only makes sense. I also tap the holes with a bottoming tap, and use compressed air to "clear the way".

Some have chrome o-ring water necks, so I vaseline the o-ring and very lightly "pad" the edges with Permatex ultra-copper silicone sealer. And I mean lightly. I put it on the tip of my finger and tap around the edges for just a very fine "coloring". Works for me :beer

Oh-on the intake bolts I use Permatex #2. Put a dab between thumb and index finger and run the bolt through it, get a decent buildup and put 'em in.
