Welcome To The Corvette Action Center Harlyworkr!

You'll be better served here in the C3 forum rather than the C5 forum Mike, so I moved it for ya. ;)

Welcome aboard! :CAC

Mike, on my 82, the factory installed get's armed, when you hit the Auto door lock. And it wont arm, when you manually press the knobs down. Not sure though thats the same in the 77..
Welcome to the :CAC !

PS: The Manual should say so, how to arm that thing.. :)

Early 77's , key in fender late 77's , in the door lock . If it still won't work, let me know.

Our 78 Anniversary was armed by keying the drivers door lock clockwise about 90 degrees as described above - - we had far fewer false alarms than with our 73 and 75 with the key in the fender. Sounds like a prudent move might be to pick up a copy of the 77 owners manual - -about $10 as I recall from most of the suppliers . . .
