With all the rain and flooding you would have to wonder if there was any Vettes lost to high water in middle America. The U of Iowa campus is 8 feet under and countless homes are being swept away I would hope that non were however .

My heart goes out to the families affected by the floods. I've not heard if any of our members are among the displaced but it wouldn't surprise me.

We've had major flooding in the past in our area, first the creeks are a problem, then the river, I have 4 properties in the so called flood plane, my 88 is garaged at one of my rentals, my 99 is at my house. When water threatens I move both to a friends house on high ground and anything else with wheels (ATV, Trailer, etc.), but you can't move your house. It certainly is a helpless feeling to be confronted with a flood. We have been evacuated a few times since the big flood of 72 but thank God flooding was not wide spread. I feel for anyone who has to go through a flood because I've been there . Our prayers are with those who are going through it now.....................
