I just ordered the $59 (plus $9 postage) repair kit for fixing small paint chips. Saw their ad in Corvette Enthusiast magazine. The instructions, before-and-after pics and the testamonials sold me on it. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this product. Check out their web site Drcolorchip.com.

It isn't as easy as it looks in the commercials. I've had mixed results.:rotfl

I'd be interested to hear more about your results. What are the pros and cons? Chips are such a pain to deal with. Especially deep ones in the fiberglass.

It's not easy to dab on a drop of paint, smear it, and get it to come out smooth. There is a also timing trick to letting the paint set long enough that you don't wipe it all off with the final wipe with the liquid blender. I'm sure with lots of practice it's a good solution, but it's far from an easy one. At least to me.:eyerole

That said, it's probably better than simply trying to fill the chip with a glob on the DupliColor brush.

I bought a kit to do some chips on my pickup, it was not as easy as they make it look. I did multiple layers like the instructions said, it didn't turn out as well as they showed.

Would I do it again? I'd try again, I'd like some more practice before I try to fix some chips on the Corvette.
