I'm replacing the rear window of my 1975 coupe, and was wondering if anyone out there has done it and has any suggestions? I couldn't justify the $229 cost when I got a piece of replacement glass cut for $80...not original, but should replace nicely. What tools, size adhesive, application tips do you pros have?

Hey Randy, yes I replaced the rear window on my '74 coupe. I also had a piece of glass cut for it and saved alot of money. I was doing my interior at the time so all of the inside trim pieces were off. I set one of those 500 watt halegen lamps on the rear deck appox. a foot away from the glass. This heated up the glass that heated up the bonding ribbon. I was then able to just push on the glass, toward the inside of the cockpit. Wipe down frame with alcohol wipes to clean bonding area. Put new ribbon around window, install new glass, replace interior rear window trim. Mine is still in place after more than a year.

Good luck, Bud. Peace
