Has anyone ever tried to make a change to the 2 a/c vents on the passager side. Reason I ask. I live in florida and when the a/c is on and the wife is riding shotgun she complains like crazy that the a/c vent blows on her so she closes them. That makes it take forever to cool the car cause only the center vent and driver vent is open. You can point the vents down or straight ahead but not point up... Yes I know you can change the temp on passager side but I don't want that I only want the vent to be able to point up somewhat so the air is not blowing on her. Anyone else have/had this problem or have any ideals what I could do to fix it. Gonne be a long drive to BG and would be nice if I could fix this problem before june 1.

You can over-ride the automatic mode and choose to have it come out at floor level and defrost. Push the "mode" button to cycle it through the options.

And welcome to the CAC!

Howler,

It almost sounds like you married my wife. Even with an independent dual zone heating and A/C system, "it's always something".:L

It just seems like there should be a way to point the vents up and that would solve the problem. I have looked at the vents close and there is a wire that connects to the back of each piece. If I removed the vents and cut the wire to the bottom piece maybe I would beable to point the suckers up. Just not sure what to do.
