TPiS Corvette Muffler Systems

For the '84-'91 Corvette L-98 we offer two cat-back systems. The early Corvette has a 4-bolt flange for the converter, the late model has a 2-bolt flange. Up to a 40 HP gain! Tremendous reduction in back pressure. Much better performance than after-market mufflers that don't replace the rear Y-pipe. This system is the ideal bolt-on. It has a very sporty tone and features a 3-1/2" diameter pipe from the back of the catalytic converter. The pipe then splits into two 3" pipes which then go into a pair of 3-chamber Flowmaster mufflers that are made to our specifications. Installs in minutes. No cutting or drilling necessary.

i am interested in the Rear Y Pipe only. it is larger than the stock 3" main pipe and the 2 1/2" "Y" pipes.

does it bolt up directly to the cat? looks like it would cause the cat has a BIG lip that that 3" stock one bolts too.

where can i buy this Rear Y Pipe? Reason i ask is i am interested in these Muffler Eliminator's

Good Looking/Good Sounding Free-Flow Muffler

3" Diameter Chrome Tips

KBD Targa Mufflers give 1984-90 Corvettes a deep and throaty, sensuously powerful sound. In addition, their sleek design improves the look of your car's undercarriage. KBD free-flow mufflers are bolt-on items which hang in the stock location. They are made of heavy gauge steel with chrome tailpipe ends. The KBD mufflers have a 3 year limited warranty. Each set comes with installation instructions.

i have the mufflers with stock y pipe.they fit the stock y pipe.
sounds good .

From what I have seen the tpis kit does not fit on the car nicely. And the KBD mufflers have a stock inlet size, which is not adequate for my application.

I got a set of exhaust tips with 3" inlet and 3.5" angle cut tips

and a set of sound deadners from dynatech engineering

I am not running mufflers, just a set of full length headers, 3" dual stainless steel exhaust and the above parts. The car sound VERY MEAN to say the least.
