Anyone running dual pcv valves on a TPIS miniram???

I went to the parts store and the only one that seems to work (aside from the one on the valve cover) is one of the smaller stream line pcv valves.

Im looking to run dual pcv valves. Seems like there is some oil getting by the one pcv valve I have and 2 pcv valves should fix that. But the smaller streamline pcv valves are smaller than the oem one above the valve cover.

I figure if the streamline smaller one is the only way to go, then i'll just rig up some heater hose to make it work.

Any suggestions?

On the Driver Side I have th PCV Valve running direct to the Miniram. On the Passenger Side I have the regular vent piece runnign through a small inline fuel filter to block the oil, it seems to work so far

Bingo! I think you may have answered a question I never posed Jeff. My valve covers evidently aren't baffled enough, or aren't baffled correctly, so they have a tendency to send quite a bit of oil into my throttle body. The fuel filter thing may be an idea that will work. I was thinking of adding a fine steel mesh or something on the inside of the valve cover baffles, but if I can't do that maybe I'll try this trick. Thanks. :upthumbs

Same here. That is PCV on the driver side, and a regular tube to the t/b on the passenger side. I am running baffled valve covers, and I think that makes a huge difference.

Jeff, so you have the line going to a fuel filter?

I was advised to just get a breather for the pass. side valve cover, but i'de have to open up the valve cover for it to fit.

Do you have any oil issues on the drive side pcv valve that runs into the intake?

69, I dont mean to hijack my own thread, but do you have any other pics of your '69? I've been thinking about getting a third gen Corvette.

Another thing you can do is get a small air compressor water seperator and put that inline with the PCV from the valve cover to the intake.

I have/had real bad blowby and the seperator took care of the oil into the intake problem. It was a Cambell Hausfeld piece that I got at Autozone.

And im going to assume you just blocked off the throttle body where the tube use to run?

No I have the filter INLINE from the air outlet of the Pass cover going to the filter, then to the TB like it should.

I have not checked the PCV side, but I may do the same thing on that side..

ohhh...that makes sense.

are you worried that the fuel filter will get clogged one day if you put alot of miles on the car?

Not really too worried, I will probably end up going with a push on breather and cap off the TB.

well I have breathers from my superram setup that I never used since I did not have oil/pcv issues. Besides it had a smaller cam so that proabbly contributes some.

Im just going to install the breathers tomorrow.

Thanks all!

o.k. I got some more valueable information off the vette net and this is my final decision.

Since im in the market for new valve covers, that what im going to get. Tall polished Chevrolet valve covers with the 2 holes on one valve cover & 1 on the other.

I can mock up a nice pcv system this way.

If it turns out that my covers won't be able to stop the excess oil from blowing back through the throttle body, then I will have to switch back I guess to my tall stamped-steel Chevrolet valve covers too, and lose my pretty Corvette scripted ones. Another two seventy-five down the tubes. :eyerole

Check out my home page.

Just click on the image below, and off you go. Plus, there is a pic of my miniram in my 90 that shows how my PCV is running.

you mean these??? I installed the inline filter and the covers at the same time, so the baffles may be doing their job.. I drove the car once since I installed these covers

yep something like that. I guess that red piece is the oil filter you were talking about.

What is that on the driver side by the intake? It looks like a 2nd pcv valve?

Just curious, what is that next to the map sensor?

you mean in line from the PCV right at the intake? it is a 'T' fitting to give me an extra Vacuum port.

It is the Canister Purge Solenoid. on 1991 Vettes the solenoid is by ht eintake instead next to the canister since in 1991 the canister moved from the front left to the rear rear of the car. My canister is still in the front, but with the 1991 ECM harness it was easier to use that location for the solenoid then wiring to the original location.

ok now i got a stupid question,,,,there are 2 ports on teh pass side of the tb,,,,the larger upper one oes to the valve cover,,,,what goes on teh lower smaller one? does that go directly to manifold vaccum?
