Anyone Taken Delivery of New Z06!?

It's been a while since I've posted here, but here's my impression after 2,100 happy miles on the new C6Z.

This car does everything just fine! Handling, comfort, acceleration, smooth, solid, can't think of enough adjectives. The acceleration alone is scary, and one has to be sensible about when and where to get on it. However, if you drive it easy it's still greatr fun just cruising, listening to your fav music, and getting fantastic gas mileage.

I haven't "raced" anybody on the road, but don't feel the need to prove this car to anyone, plus it's dangerous....that's what racetracks/dragstrips are for. Sure, I've had brand x cars or trucks try to goad me into racing or they fly by me to show me up, but I jus smile contently knowing I can blow them off any time I want....sometimes I wait for a long clear stretch of highway and quickly catch up to the car and fly by them until they're a spot in my mirror....:)

If you have any particular questions, ask away.

Almost forgot..I've had approximately 40 to 50 new cars and trucks including 8 other Vettes, and this is my all time favorite, no doubt!

Saw my first C6, Z06 this morning here in MA. I thought it looked like a viper, but I knew it was a vette when it was coming towards me because of the scoop. The car was black, with a much wider stance than the regular C6. Yeah, I know it's wider, but it just looked MUCH wider. I'm not sure if I liked it or not.

You're probably better off without her. Why would a girlfriend care what kind of car you bought? A wife yeah (and that sucks too! :) ), girlfriend, I don't think so. -John

Oh yeah, congrats on the new car! Let's see some pics when it come in.

A friend here at work belongs to a local Corvette club. He told me this morning that one of his fellow club members picked his new VR Z06 up at the Museum recently. Before leaving, they told him to be careful driving it home to MD because "they've lost two already." Apparently, two new Z06 owners on separate occasions turned off the traction control, nailed it, lost control, and caused extensive damage to their new rides. Be careful out there!!!
