I have a very minor oil leak in my 96 LT1. The Dealer said its coming from the rear of the upper intake manifold and said it is a very common LT1 problem and unless it gets really bad I should just forget about it. Then I saw this stuff in an auto parts store. Any one try it ever???

Now this is just my opinion and I could be wrong... there is only one way to stop an oil leak and that's with a gasket. STP, slippery stuff, but don't expect a miracle.

Hey, have you tried tighting down the intake manifold bolts ??
you would be suprised how many of them could be loose.
Just a suggestion, also that stp stuff to me is a no-no !!!
Just my 2 cents worth..........:beer

Sure! I'd use STP to plug an oil leak. I'd pour the junk out and use the can and some duct tape to plug up just about any leak, other than on my vette.

Have you ever looked into an oil pan that has had STP used in the engine. In my opinion, it resembles light grey clay sludge slimed and stuck to the bottom of the pan. Usually takes a putty knife to get it out.
