Thinking about doing this on my L98. Anyone know any bad things about it ?

does it come with wiring harness and sensors? ecm?
just wondering.

No it's a converted LT1 intake and fuel rails to work on a TPI motor. You reuse all your TPI sensors and hard ware just like a mini ram but for about $400.

who is selling this setup?
sounds like something I would be interested in.

I don't have the LT1 intake but I do have TPIS's Mini Ram.In my opinion it's worth the price of gold. Before the install I was runing out of steam @ 4900rpm's with bolt on's & a cam change.I then changed to the Mini Ram & ported heads with no other mods & was shifting @ 6000rpms due to that's where my cam stopped making usable power.I did take it up to 6400rpm's a few times just to see if it stopped breathing, it didn't but i didn't trust my stock bottom end. All this out of a L-98 with a stock block. Anyway good luck.

Boba vett,
have done anything on this?
I happen to have a 95 LT1 intake left over from the LT4 conversion I did a while back, on a different car.

I just started on this tonight. By matching up intakes and gaskets it looks like it's going to be fairly easy to do. I think I can even use my stock HEI if I mill down the EGR, wont know till I get the hole drilled.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that http://www.lt1intake.com works again now.. Apparently they were having DNS problems (probably let their domain name expire!).

It says that you must use a 1987+ style distributor off of a F-body...will my '90 Vette HEI work?

I read up on the intake and I also e-mailed the guy about it. I think that it is best suited for a F-body. The whole process seems kind of haphazard to me. I seriously contemplated it, but I think that I'm just going to go ahead and spend the extra $ on a mini-ram. Just my $.02.
