Folks, I want to take a moment and provide a quick update about the site and other “Callaway Happenings”…
Spring is finally here and many of us are prepping our cars or bringing them out of winter hibernation, I personally am getting ready for the “annual spring (dead) battery swap”
I also understand that a few cars have made the trip to Old Lyme for updates, etc and one car in particular, Callaway4fun’s B2K is getting a major revision to it and will be quite a barnstormer when completed in a few weeks – Can’t wait to see it Pete
With Spring, comes the cleaning – many of the Owners here are going to be heading for Illinois in June for the Bloomington Gold show as part of the Special Collection – This show is going to be a HUGE event for Owners & Enthusiasts alike, with a very special focus on the Corvettes of Reeves Callaway. In addition to the two dozen cars in “Special Collection XX”, there will also be a Callaway Corral there for many other cars :cool
Soon after Bloomington, the big Corvettes @ Carlisle show in August is planned with space again set aside in the Fun Field – Make sure you mention “Callaway Owners Group” when you register.
Speaking of Carlisle, this weekend, Co-Founder Chip Miller will be remembered for all he contributed to this world. As you may have heard, Chip passed due to complications from his illness – he was a great person, and huge supporter of Callaways & Corvettes – http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/chip_miller.htm
The Callaway Owners Group site has been updated once again this month, with more to come over the next few weeks. The “Callaway Of The Month” belongs to Mark Meltzer and features his Grand Sport Mark – enjoy that car as you have in the past
Also added, is a great retrospect on the Barrett-Jackson Auction by Turbo Luigi. There are also a whole host of pictures are in the “GALLERY” too. http://www.callawayownersgroup.com/Pages/Gallery.htm
The Callaway Forum here at the has also been extremely active over the past month – We now have over 1,000 individual topics & over 9,500 posts with 10k not far off, this site has proven to be a huge resource for anyone seeking information about these unique cars. – Thanks Callaway4Fun for breaking the 1k mark
We have some new additions here – Looks like Tony C. has added Callaway #4 to his stable with a new 4-post lift soon to follow & Hugger C8 has finally completed his Camaro – those pics looked great, both of you!
As the car shows, track events, and cruises gear up, hopefully you will build some more fun memories in your Callaway Cars –
Enjoy! Chris
