Ars?

I just purchased a 94 corvette and know nothing about them. There is a button to the left of the steering wheel that when hit a ARS button comes on. Can anyone tell what this does.
Thanks

It should say "ASR" and stands for Anti-Slip Regulation. It is the button that controls the traction control system found on 1992 to 1996 Corvettes.

Thanks for your reply. I have another question. When I try to start my vette it doesn't turn over it just makes a clicking sound from the starter. Could this be anything else before I change it. And I was wondering when you buy a starter does it come with the silanode (excuse my spelling) and everything or what?

Hi, yes I believe a solenoid does come with the purchase of a starter. You could be having a problem with either the starter or the Optical Distributor.

I would do one of two things:

1. Run a search here in the forums on optical distributor

2. Purchase a service manual before you try diagnosing and repairing your Corvette.
