Auto Shift knob

On my 94,
Use a small flat screwdriver to 'pop' off the top button,
Inside the knob you will now see a (clip, E, C ???) ring. to make life easy you need a special pair of pliers to spread it open so you can remove it from the shaft.
Once it is out all you have to do is lift the knob off.
Do yourself a favor and get the tool. Any autoparts store or Sears will have them.

Just got one at Autozone with several different tips for 11.95. Seems to be a good tool.
