Got my front cap reglued back to the metal brace (popped up when I painted her),headlights can now be activated, and the hood is back on.
Cracked out the shop manual & adjusted the detent cable per procedure, test drove it and it did not help the shifting problem, it's still starting out in second gear.
To better understand my tranny, have a question:
At what speeds does the auto tranny shift from 1st to 2nd, and from 2nd. to 3rd?
I noticed that mine is only shifting once , and that shift point is at ~35 mph. It will go back down to 2nd if you floor it from around 50 or 60, going back to 3rd when you let off.
Guess I'll have to take it to a shop soon.
