I'm looking to buy a B&B Tri-Flo Exhaust system for my '01. Does anyone here have the PRT-tone? I kinda want the PRT but I don't know if it's too obnoxious. Should I be safe and go with the Route 66-tone? I don't mind it being a little loud but I don't want to be like those ricer-cars running around with the soup-canned exhaust annoying everyone with each tap of the throttle. A friend of mine has the Route 66 on his '00 and I like it....it's subtle but nice.....can't tell a lot of difference from stock but the added HP is there.

Any input would be great appreciated.

If you are keeping stock headers and restictive pipe, the PRT won't be obnoxious. If you have after market headers, high flow (or no) cats and X pipe, tone it done to the 66. BTW, the beast headers, high flow cats and X pipe I've seen is FLP. Go to flp2win.com asnd check it out.

Thanks for the info.

I will be keeping the stock headers but possibly changing out the stock H-pipe for a Magnaflow X-pipe. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Great choice on the exhaust, it sounds amazing! I have the PRT on my 02' and don't think it should bother you. If you haven't heard it before try the website www.bbtriflo.com there is to slides on it. one with the PRT and one with the route 66, I hope that will help you decide. If you want a deeper sound on the PRT you could dremel the little hole in the exhaust tips.
GOOD LUCK! PRT sounds amazing!

The headers, exhaust and air intake are the biggest "low cost" gain in HP. The FLPs are fantastic. Perfect fit...no welding and you can take on/take off the cats in 15 minutes on a lift. I have a 03 50th coupe. I went with FLP headers/x-pipe/high flow cats / Corsa exhaust and Breathless Ram Air intake. I went from the stock 350 HP to 408 HP. Not bad for a 2.5K investment that doesn't invalidate my warranty! Check out flp2win.com. I researched everything and I couldn't find better headers/X-pipe and cats for the money and they are an absolutely perfect & flawless fit. :upthumbs

Thanks for the info, guys! I guess I'll go with the PRT's. West Coast Corvette's has an internet buy special of $749 for the PRT's. That's $100 cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. I want the oval-slant tips so that it looks clean and stock-like. If you know anyone whom is selling cheaper let me know. I probably won't purchase the system for another couple weeks.

Wow, "realtor," those are killer gains! For 2500 bucks, you can't beat it. I bet'cha that's a real kick in the pants! I might go that route in lieu of buying a C6! It's definitely cheaper! ;)
