They look so stickey, you won't need to do a burnout to warm them up!

Plus the tread pattern is so aggressive, I bet you could pull a five bottom plow to 14 inches, and break "plow pan" through mud!!!!

It does look great, you gonna run it in Nevada? I might be there, but only as a spectator in a rental car!!! (I'll be taking care of the folks, and chaufering them out to the left coast. You know after they turn 80 they need a little adult supervision.)

Funny you mention that about the burnout... I drove it about 12 miles after putting them on, stopped in the middle of the road just before getting to my street and flat nailed it. I didn't flash the converter, but fom a dead stop I'd say I got not more than a rotation out of them before they were HOOKED! I gotta say that's far better than I got with a healthy burnout with my slicks and plenty of VHT at the track. UNBELIEVEABLE,

I bet if I took these tires to the track, easy 1.6 60" and 11's without other changes. I could not hook the slicks and best was 12.254 with mid 1.7 60"'s. But they're 16"X9", I think the 17" 315's on the ground are just gonna hook better.

I WILL be at the Pony Express, I think I'm heading down on the 23rd. Sure like to meet you there if your in the area. I may run the 1/4 mi. once in May again before I go, but I'm not going to thrash the car to hard between now and June and hope that it will stay intact for the run and get me home without a major catastrope.

Now as far as "I bet you could pull a five bottom plow to 14 inches, and break "plow pan" through mud!!!!" I think I'll let someone else test that theory ;LOL

Those are the tires that I am in need of now... Just take a look my current tires- self explanatory

Moon,

How's the road noise on those tires? Those are the tires I want and it's hard to tell from the charts if they are a lot quieter than the GSC's.

I think they look awesome, and I am a loyal Goodyear guy from the rubber city (Akron, OH - - Goodyear Headquarters).

I must say they (at least the rears) are CONSIDERABLY louder than the SP 8,000's I had on there before on certain sufaces. It really surprised me too, but I don't notice it all the time.

Well they look so cool I'll overlook the noise - but I have read they are some of the quieter tires out there right now. Thanks.

My GS-D3's are way quieter and smoother than the GSC's I had before. The traction control hardly ever kicks in now. I'm happy, but poorer!

I think that means that it is time for you to start saving for some performance upgrades...:D

Colin,

i got 285/40/17's Goodyear F1's and at 18 psi i've pulled a 1.81 60' time a few times with stock 1600 rpm stall and 2.59 gears. they stick real good when you heat them up pretty good ;)
