Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Baby......in full technicolor. Finally!!!!!!!!

NOW we are getting somewhere.

Like I said before get that garage cleaned out

OK, it's still not easy only typing with one hand so I'll make this a bit easier on myself.

John Mc: yep! it sure will be nice when I can. Although......when the car's back and the arm's better it will probably start raining. ;LOL

Heaven: you ballons give me an idea, maybe I should throw a "welcome home Baby" party. :)

Vintage: i'm thrilled with the shop! don't let the engine bay pic fool you. he already hosed it down to get rid of sanding dust but it's still in dire need of a good cleaning. it's always been masked off but 9 months inside a bodyshop and she gonna get dirty.

67: you are lucky! an unhit virgin body would have made life soooo much easier. $10k is a lot i'd think for just paint and no bodywork although i did have one place quote me $20k for just that.

John: thanks! and to answer you question....... YES!!!!

Larry
soon my friend, very soon! :D

as soon as I can take the parts back over for reassembly it's garage cleaning day.

Barry, last year I thought I might get my car painted and the first place I went the guy goes over my car and says it looks pretty good and then tells me it will be $12,000,,,if he doesn't run into any unknowns!! Yikes!!! Needless to say I still have a 10 footer. LOL

BTW, your car looks great!

When I saw the colour I almost wet my pants. When all the hardware/brightwork was back on I did wet my pants. When I drove it home....well we won't go there.

Barry,:w (this is you waving your good arm)

Regarding the party, I drink Miller Lite. :beer

Are you excited to see your car or is that a banana........ :D

Did you order an air cleaner cover to prevent future meltdowns? :confused

If anything happens to that car before I get to see it in person...:r

Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait!
Can't wait! Can't wait! :W:W :W :W :W

Hey Barry,

I have been on the sideline following the progress on your car and I must say that I congratulate you on your perseverance and on the beautiful paint job. I can't wait to see it all finished up in your garage. Best wishes for you and your wife and enjoy.

Regards,

Tony Gomez

that's outrageous. i guess in so. cal they can get away with prices like that - so much demand.
you could ship the car elsewhere to a great paint shop and than ship it back home again for less. geez!

For my party we got CAC people from as far away as Ohio and British Columbia. :naughty:

oh no......that could get dangerous! :cool

would make the neighhbors envious to see a ton of Vettes parked all over up and down the street and filling the driveway and that alone could make it worthwhile though...... ;LOL

Hurray!!!!!I thought I was never going to see your car in one color..... You gotta be just giddy. Now, rest up that wing of yours and maybe you'll be able to drive it home in a couple of weeks.

i was beginning to think i may never see it in color again either.......

will have a friend drive her home for me to be safe but i'll be enjoying from the passenger seat, which i don't think i've ever sat in yet. ;LOL

Paint job

Hello Barry
Your paint job looks fantastic and I can only imagine how excited you must feel.
take care
Tom

Yo bud..the paint looks outstanding even in the pics. I'll bet close up she's a mirror finish....R u ready for the Concord Mall Fathers Day show, even if u can't drive, Linda can pull her in, right????

Andy

Andy
she won't be ready for the show on the 5th, but for the 19th she should just be out of the shop (fingers crossed!).
Linda can't drive a stick so I'll have to see if I can get my friend to drive her to the mall for me that day............ and than home again. If he will than I'll have the car there, otherwise the car will have to stay home until I can drive her and Linda and I will have to show up without her and just help out.

Do u have to get any other work done on the car...valve covers reskinned, anyting else? Just curious. she looks sooo good. I have been scouring ebay for things, but after talking with Norman Powell last wek at Sundance, I think I am goin to wait till Carlisle to pick up GOODIES...Norman has an interesting way of buying things up there.
