Back In The C4 Crowd!

WoW! great deal! best of all your definately not married!!! no way would you get away with that (unless she was driving one)

Nope, I haven't been caught yet. So I can still afford to spend my money on my toys. ;)

There are two things I would like to do to this Vette. First, I would like to add on an alarm. Somehow, I've gotten used to having a fob that locks and unlocks the doors for me. My worry is that aftermarket alarms and Corvette electronics sometimes don't seem to mix well. If anyone has any recommendations for after market alarms, I'd love to hear them.

Second, I've always liked the more rounded ZR-1 back end style on the C4's. I wouldn't mind buying a new rear bumper and putting it on. But the ones I've looked at arrive unpainted. How much would I be looking at to get it painted?

Thanks!

Very nice addition to the family!! I must admit that 1990 is my favorite year, but I have my own bias. :D

As for the rear clip, I think it would be a matter of having your paint or body person be able to match the color of the car.

I am wondering though, how are you going to decide which one to drive??

I wish I had that problem. ENJOY!!

Wow you went all the way up to Ft. Lupton for it...I'm impressed! heheh

I really like Purifoy...I wish I lived closer, great bunch of folks.

You just better hope you don't have to go far come winter! hehe BTW that reminds me...I have a AWD minivan for sale! ;LOL

You know, I'm not the biggest fan of the early C4 body style, but THAT is one good looking car!!! :cool :lou I'm diggin the decals too! Some body styles, graphics and color combinations just work. I like your's alot better than say-- the similar graphics and two-tone color scheme thought up for the '95 Convertible Indy 500 Pace Car replicas.

Yes, watch out for that aftermarket alarms! the previous owner had one installed in my car and I am still trying to get things straightened out!

Go to the most reputable stereo alarm place in town and spend the xtra bucks.
my car is an abortion gone wrong - you should see the hack job done on this car.

Are those decals really the '95 Indy Pace Car graphics? I didn't realize that! To be honest, I've gotten mixed reactions to the decals. People at work, at the grocery store, where ever, seem to either love them or hate them. There's no neutral opinions.

The sports seats are very nice. I really missed the way the side bolsters in the C4 hold you firmly in the seat during cornering- my Z06 does not have those.

Road_racefan,
I enjoy my Corvettes a little bit more every time I drive them. Incredible car, isn't it? :)

here is a link with a '95 Pace Car pic, your graphics are definitely from a PC: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/c4/1995/index.html

You don't have the full graphics package (missing the front red stripe, and a few touches here and there) but I think it looks sweet.

Well, as of this past Friday, I rejoined the C4 crowd with the purchase of a nice little 1990 Convertible- an addition to the stable to supplement the Z06.

So you couldn't leave well enough alone. You had to go back to the dark side. Now you are conflicted my son. Stepping back an forth between light and dark will eventually take it's toll. Soon you will not know how to react when those C5 drivers "don't wave". I wish you well. Others before you have tried...few survived.

Patrick - all kidding aside - the new addition looks terrific. And isn't it nice to have a vert?

Who, me? Dark Side? Conflicted? Take it's toll? Remo, none of this would be an issue if you would just start waving at earlier generation Corvettes. :L

Actually, I do have a conflict every morning to work out: which Vette do I take to work? And, yes, it is very nice to have a 'vert. :)

Thanks, VettLt193, I appreciate the link! And thanks for the positive feedback. As I said, there appears to be no middle ground on those graphics- people either love them or hate them at first glance. I'm actually starting to enjoy discovering where someone is going to come down on the issue of the graphics and why. :L

Hi Patrick -

Congrats!

That's not the vert you talked with me about at the Cool River, was it?

L98's are torque monsters. Nice lookin' vert!

BTW - I use Malms wax - www.malms.com

They are the only ones that say if you don't think it's better, they will send UPS out to pick it up pre-paid - and refund all your money - including your shipping. I have used it for many years, and I still have not seen it's better.

best regards -

Hi Andy,
Yes... It is exactly the one I was talking with you about at Cool River Cafe when you were out here.

I've become a dedicated Zaino fan. I put my first couple of coats on the '90 last weekend, and it looks incredible!

PS: Hey, Andy, you never told me about your cross country Motorcycle Ride... how'd it go? And more importantly, how long before you feel you've fully recovered from the ride? :D
