Back in 2007-ish, BBK started work on a new TPI intake. It looked promising in terms of the gains from its revised plenum & runners.

It appears it was never brought to market. Anyone know why?

I'll guess that business sense got the better of BBK and it decided that the development cost balanced against the potential sales and the retail prices had them killing the project.

These days, the number of people putting big money in to L98s is not great.

Thanks Hib. That's what I thought.

With TPIS' Mini-Ram and Holley's Stealth Ram... I'd say the needs of the market are being met. And... where the upper plenum meets the runners... it looked pinched. Just my $.02 though.
