Oh Oh, #5 plug again.Bent electrode again. I do notice a shiny spec right on the bend of the electrode. Now what, Trouble? Aluminum from piston? What would cause only this cylinder to do this? Piston hitting plug? Electrode isnt smashed, but gap is closed to approx .010.

Of course the piston is hitting it. If you dont have domed pistons, you have a bearing or wrist pin problem in need of attention. If you do have domed pistons - say 10.5 to 12:1 compression - you need to index the plugs.

Skids - Did you ever mention which plug you are using? Some plugs have extended tips.

I'm using AC Rapdifire #7, but today I got some R45's. About a 1/4" less protrusion into head. These will work just fine I'm sure. But, I never had this problem before, till recently. Maybe the Rapidfires were OK, but maybe by reinstalling them a few times, the gasket got compressed too much and allowed plug to protrude too far into head. Sound probable?
