whats the best aftermarket ignition coil out there?

I've used the Accel Super Coil on a number of HEI cars and it seemed to work fairly well. You do have to remove the stock cover at the back of the plenum to get it to fit. Just make sure you specify the right wire colors if you decide on this one.

MSD makes a high-output coil that fits inside the cap in the stock location.

I have always used a cap and rotor with brass contacts rather that the stock aluminum contacts after going to the HO coil. They seem to last longer and will handle the higher voltage.
