What is the best Repair Manual to buy for a C5 vette. One that gives a novice mechanic, some good illustrations etc. on stuff he can do. Not extreme engine and trans repair.
I just had to put a new light bezell on vette, could not buy just the lost plug for the older style, It now does not fit right not wrong but not tight as the older one. I had to do it for wife at night and may have not got it in right.

TIA

I have the factory service manuals for my 99, 3 book set for $80 bucks at Carlisle. I also have a Hayes manual.

The Hayes book is very good for general work and it actually does go into some good detail. Some of the larger auto parts chains have the Chiltons and Hayes manuals and you can take a look through them before you buy.

I also like the factory manuals. Last time I looked, there was no Chiltons or Hayes manuals for C5. Did they publish some?

Factory 3 book set..........watch ebay for them.:beer:w

If the car is going to be kept for any length of time, the factory manuals are the way to go.

Order the factory ones from Helm, Inc. or watch on e-bay......can't beat 'em.

Three book set??? I just got a set for my '04 and it was a two book set. But they are huge....the engine section alone has over 1,000 pages. :)
