Best size tires

I just bought c6 zo6 wheels for my 1999 convertible.
The wheels are 17x9.5 and 18x10.5.

What would be the best size tire for these wheels.

Before you put tires on the wheels which might render them not-returnable, you better make sure they fit properly.

C6 Z wheels have different backspacing than C5 and C5 Z wheels.

Also, C6 Z06es have flared fenders. 99 Convertibles do not. The backspace issue asside, it might be that those wheels with the right tires will not fit due to tire rub.

I bought ones from oe wheels that are made for the c5.

Then you bought C6 Z06 style wheels, in C5 Z06 sizes, as C6 Z06 wheels will not fit on a C5 without a tub and flared quarters. I know, because I was given a set and tried like hell to make it work, no way.

Do you know what wheels I am even talking about? Does a stock c5 zo6 come with flared fenders or tubs. These are the same size and backspacing as those wheels. They just look like the 06 wheels.

I think those are C5 Z06 wheel size in width and diameter, which had 265/40/17 front tires and 295/35/18 rear tires if I remember correctly.

That's exactly what I said, you bought C5 size wheels in an 06 Z06 style. They will fit fine, obviously. You must have misread what I wrote.

Anyway, to answer your original question, the stock C5 Zo6 tire size is 275/40/17 fr, 295/35/18 r. Those tires are a great improvement in traction and feel over stock C5 sizes. I run Eagle F1's in those sizes on my C5. A 285fr, 305r, will also fit on those wheels.

Stock OEM front tires were 265/40/17, rears were 295/35/18 according to Tire Rack and Z06 Forum.

Sorry bout that, 265fr,295r is correct. You can run 275fr,305r also.
