Hey Folks, is there any tires you know of that gets more mileage than a set of factory tires? I don't race or abuse my beautiful car and enjoy all it's abilities but would like to know if there is anyone who could post the tire brand or type and the highest mileage you were able acheive. Just curious. Thanks.

I run Michelin Pilot Sports on both my C5 and C6 Z06. The former are run flats and the latter are non-zp tires (they didn't have run flats available back when I got them). I have about 40k on the Z including track time.

:w there,

Along with the tire, be aware too that the Alignment of your 4 wheels will also have an effect on tire wear. The factory alignment is not really set up for the daily driver, it is set more toward the competition type driving ;)

Here are some spec you should consider when getting new tires or about every 20,000 or 30,000 miles ;)

The Michelin Pilot Sport All Season ZPs seem to last a good long time.

I appreciate you kind folks assisting me with this info. I want to take the best care of my car and want the longest safest wear and life from these expensive tires. I think when I purchase a new set and have the front end aligned I will see what the front end specialist is wanting to set the alignment at and compare it with the daily driver specs. If they differ from the daily driver from the spec sheet, I will tell him to try this and see if they will last longer. I will also try the other tire mentioned and hopefully I can get the same mileage out of mine.

Thanks again.

These are what I put on...love them and have saved my bacon two summer back going through St. Louis. I've got probably 15-20K on them and they still look like new.

I run the A/S ZPs tires on my 02 coupe. They have a tread guarantee for 40K miles.

Sorry, the tires are Michelin All/Season (A/S) Zero Pressure (ZP - Michelin's term for Run Flats). Good in the rain and on dry pavement.
