hello,folks am putting a 396 in my 66 ss impala that came with a 327 ..does anyone no if i need to move the motor mount perches alone with new mounts,,thanks for the help , mike

Should be fine. BB and SB's mounted in the same place using on all Chevy's I can think of....

years ago i replace a 327 in my '68 chevelle, with a 396. the new motor mounts i bought for the 396, wouldn't fit over the mounts on the frame. big pain trying to get the engine in until i found this out. take the new motor mounts and pre fit them over the frame mounts to make sure they fit okay before installation.
