I just got back from a ride in a 68 with a stroker 383 making almost 600 hp (Its what he told me). What @#$%^&* fun!!! Now I gotta go get the 540 BB with 700 hp and the Keisler 5 spd and put it in my 67 to scratch this itch. I hope the 24 month 24,000 mile warrenty is for real.

Best regards,
Gerry

PS What say you 67 Heaven?

Gerry,

I've been thinking about dropping one of these stroked small blocks into my 66 vert (big block power, front end weight of small block):

Was leaning towards their 427 small block as it is cheaper, although "only" about 550 hp.

Somewhat thinking all that torque and hp would not be too kind to the muncie and rear end if not too careful.

Gerry I would think your having that kind of fun allready in your car with a 427 in it.I dont see how it's possible to get the cars to hook up to actually use any more hourse power

Now you know one of the reasons for all the work it took to do this...

...not to mention the thrill of listening to all those ponies champing at the bit. :D

Thanks for the vote 67 Heaven. You never have too much HP. The drivetrain in the car is all original and I don't want to take a chance of throwing a rod through the block (irreplacable). The tires will be the weakest link even with 255/40/17 which is about as big a I can fit without body mods. I would not use the original trans but get the 5 speed from Keisler which will handle 650+ HP. The only thing left would be the rear but I think with a beefed up suspension and using a nonoriginal HD diff if something broke I would just fix it. As to hooking up, no it won't hook up but once its rolling WHEEE.

Best regards,
Gerry

Gerry,

I agree. I'd have twice the horsepower if I could afford it.

I want to be able to scare myself by just sneezing on the loud pedal. :D
The only limits on HP for the street to me is the fuel and the fact it has to be all able to fit under the hood. :D

67 good looking project :cool Did you fab the wide fenders yoursellf or where did you buy them? :beer Didn't see it on your webpage but I could be blind.

These engines that are available from Shafirof and others are pump gas friendly and up to 540 CI in a standard block which will fit in thew corvette engine bay. For the money@ $7500 + $3200 for the trans = about 11-12 K for the whole deal. Plus the 24 month 24K mile warranty. How can you go wrong?

Best regards,
Gerry

I built a 383/425 hp motor for my 60 ...

I built a 383/425 hp motor for my 60 ... I may install the orig motor some time when I get older, much older. It is fun driving a full size slot car...
